Lubambe copper mine is located within the Greater konkola
Area of the Zambia Copperbelt and consists of a large _ scale mining license
covering an area of approximately 240 square kilometers. The mine is a modern,
World class facility with fully mechanized underground operations.
Lubambe Copper Mine is owned by EMR Capital of Australia
(80%) and ZCCM _ Investments Holdings (20%).
The mine is currently in a ramp up will produce 45,000
tonnes of contained copper and will employ approximately 1,500 people. The
plant infrastructure consist of a Concentrator plant, a laboratory and
underground infrastructure. The Concentrator incorporates crushing, milling, floatation
and filtration. The design capacity is 2.5 MTPA of ore at an average mill grade
of 2.3% copper, yielding 45,000 tonnes of contained copper in concentrate to be
sold to smelters in Zambia.
Lubambe Copper Mine Limited requires the services of
qualified and motivated persons to fill the following positions in the finance
and Administration Department
Warehouse Supervisor
The Positions will
report to the Procurement and materials coordinator
Role Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure that all warehousing
functions of Receiving, Binning, Housekeeping and Issuing are done diligently.
This role will also interpret the supply Chain policies specific to Warehousing
and ensure that all sections of the Warehouse are aligned. This role will also
outreach to the areas where Warehouse inventory is also stored such as yards
and ensure that there is proper storage and accountability.
Accountabilities:
. Manage and
oversee overall process of receiving, storage and issuing of spares, components
and consumables
. Supervise all human resource in the Receiving, Binning and
sections including drivers
. Make recommendations to improve general Warehouse layout
and appearance
. Ensure that all equipment and other resources in the
Warehouse are properly maintained
. Contribute to the
Supply Chain budget by assessing Warehouse requirements
. Any other duties related to the post as deemed appropriate
by the Materials superintendent.
Health and Safety
. Demonstrate awareness of safety practices throughout the
site
. Reporting of unsafe and hazardous conditions.

. Ability to maintain high performance standards for self
and others that support Lubambe Copper Mines strategic plan
. Proven ability in encouraging open expression of ideas and
opinions and efficiently transfer thoughts and express ideas orally or in
writing in individual or group situations
. Ability to work as a group of people, working toward
solutions which generally benefit all involved parties.
. Ability to proactively acquire necessary technical
knowledge, skills and judgment to perform job more effectively
Qualifications and
skills
. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree related to commercial or
supply Chain Management discipline or minimum five years proven experience in
such a role
. Leadership Skills and result Orientation
. Fluent and excellent oral and written communication skills
in English required
. Computer proficiency in Excel. MS word and ERP systems
. Extremely strong report writing and charting skills
. Member of ZIPS
