The Higher Education Loans and
Scholarships Board (HELSB) was established by the Higher Education Loans and
Scholarships Act No. 31 of 2016 to provide for the granting, administration,
investment, payment and recovery of loans; provide for the administration and
granting of scholarships: facilitate the mobilization of financial resources
for loans and scholarships; and provide for matters connected with or incidental
to the foregoing, in fulfilling its mandate, HELSB wishes to fill the following
positions.
Successful candidates will be
expected to demonstrate high levels of requisite competencies.
Manager – Legal and Board
Secretary
Job Purpose
To manage and coordinate
provision of professional legal and secretarial services to the Board in Order
to ensure that the operations of the legal framework.
Knowledge and Skills
Requirements
a) Minimum Primary/Secondary
Education:
§
Full Grade 12/Form 5 Certificate
b) Minimum Vocationauprofessional
Qualification
§
LLB Degree / Advocate of the High
Court / Member of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ)
C) Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
§
6 years’ work experience.
d) Communication Skills:
i) Written Skills
Ability to write legal and
technical reports
ii) Oral Skills
Ability to speak English fluently
as the job entails communication to diverse audience.
e) Other Skills/Attributes:
Interpersonal skills, Analytical
skills, Supervisory skills, Tact and diplomacy, Integrity, Patience, Computer,
Confidentiality, Honesty
