Mopani Copper Mine Plc, a joint venture company comprising
major shareholders Glencore International AG, first Quantum Minerals Ltd and
Zccm Investment Holdings, Owns operations in Mufulira and Nkana on the
Copperbelt in Zambia. The Company’s success has been as a result of its focused

The Company seeks the services of qualified Root Cause
Analyst-Trackless Equipment X3 reporting to the Engineering Superintendent
Governance.
Duties will, among
others, include:
. Provide guidance on the type of analysis to be conducting
(i.e. simplified or detailed Root Cause Analysis, Incident Cause Analysis
Method, failure Mode and Effect Critically Analysis, Fault tree Analysis, etc.
. Participate in investigations and facilitate (root cause)
analyses on selected defects and deviation (equipment failures, duration for
failure repairs, facilities and conditions deviations, technical safety
incidents, etc.)
. Liaise with stakeholders (i.e. Operations, supply Chain, Original
Equipment Manufacturers, Reliability engineer, specialists and Maintenance
planners) on investigation outcome
. Action logging and Monitoring of analyses outcome and
remedial measures committed
. Report on component health and other relevant observations
made and monitor close out
. Maintain close liaison with all stakeholders (i.e. Original
Equipment manufacturers (OEM). Operations, Suppliers, supply chain, Component Stores,
finance, etc.) To promote cooperation and sound working relationships.
Qualifications and
Experience:
1. Grade 12 school Certificate
2. Craft Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Repair with 5 years’
experience or Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years’
experience
3. Fully paid up member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
(EIZ)
4. Have relevant certificates in specialized course from recognized
institutions of learning or original Equipment Manufactures an added advantage
5. Experience of underground trackless equipment and root
cause analysis as an added advantage.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have
the ability to work with own initiative, paying particular attention to Company
policies and Corporate objectives.
