Key
Accountabilities
§
Process
new insurance policies, modifications to existing policies and annual renewals
§
Coordinate
with the branches on collection of confirmation of death from the respective
deceased clients Heads of Department (HOD) from the Branch Manager’s and
Finance Administrators across the Country.
§
Obtain
Death confirmation for deceased clients in Lusaka Province and arrange for
travel to collect information from branches where feedback is not availed
timely.
§
Collate
all insurance claims from all the respective branches and review these for
completeness prior to submission of the claims
§
Engage
Insurance companies/brokers for claim settlement negotiations;
§
Obtain
information from policy holders to verify the accuracy and completeness of
information on claims forms, applications and related documents, and company
records
§
Update
existing policies and company records to reflect changes requested by
policyholders and insurance company representatives
§
Do
a monthly review of Insurance payable to the Insurance Company and submit this
for payment to the finance team for payment processing
§
Check
the bank statements on a daily basis and ensure that deposit slips for client
settlements or arrears payments are duly receipted on Credit Ease.
§
Compute
the resulting Insurance Premium Levy for onward submission to the Zambia
Revenue Authority
§
Issue
clearance letters to the HOD’s once a claim has been duly approved by the
Insurance Company and approval by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
§
Work
with collections to obtain an updated listing of any staff that are no longer
on the payroll due to permanent disability so that we can submit for insurance
claims.
§
Monitor
compliance on all Insurance matters
§
Maintenance
of the Scholarship Recipients records and ensure timely payments when tuition
fees are due for review and authorization by the CFO.
§
Any
other duties assigned
Mandatory Qualifications/Key Skills/Experience
§
Over
5 years work experience as Insurance Officer/Underwriter/Agent/Broker in
Insurance company(s) or insurance broking firms (the 5 years relevant
experience should relate to insurance experience obtained working in an
insurance company or insurance broking/agency companies).
§
Diploma
in Insurance Studies (minimum)
§
Certified
Member of the Insurance Association of Zambia (mandatory)
§
No
considerations will be given to candidates that do not meet the above criterion
Other
Qualifications//Key Skills/Experience
§
Computer
literate;
§
Proficient
in excel and other microsoft products;
§
Has
interpersonal skills and requires less supervision;
§
Ability
to work long hours whenever necessary to meet deadlines; and
§ Can/is able to multitask.
