Job opportunity – Provincial Team Leader
IDE Zambia is a development organization employing
enterprise development and market systems approaches in agriculture value
chains to deliver lasting solutions for creating income and livelihood
opportunities among the rural poor. IDE leverages the power of the private
sector for impact and scale.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To lead, coach and coordinate activities of a results –
oriented provincial team so as to significantly contribute towards achieving
iDE Zambia’s’ program outputs and outcomes.
Specific Roles
§ Lead
the process of field team tactical and implementation planning for the
effective delivery of planned interventions ensuring timely achievement of
agreed upon milestones and outputs consistent with the set performance
standards.
§ Ensure
effectiveness and efficiency in delivering impact at client level (both farmer
and FBA (Farm Business Advisor) level) through team coaching and in application
of, among others, technical content, business & entrepreneurship skills
that are transformative and inclusive.
§ Lead
the team in delivering value for money and ensuring sustainability of
interventions; employing creativity in brokering / leveraging competitive
market relations and linkages with the private sector.
§ Oversee
and support the process of monitoring and evaluating team progress towards
agreed targets and results; reporting and providing timely/ appropriate
feedback to team members on corrective /performance improvement steps.
§ Communications;
managing the reputation and visibility of the iDE Zambia brand in the area.
Communicating performance and achievements of the team to both internal and
external stakeholders in line with the overall country communication strategy.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
§ University
degree in either Agriculture business management, Agriculture economics,
Entrepreneurship development or equivalent business related disciplines.
§ At
least three years’ professional experience in application of market based
approaches to development work in agriculture, experience in mentoring small
business will be added advantage.
§ A
self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, adhering to deadlines and
used to meeting targets, creative / innovative
§ People
management skills: coaching and mentoring skills, team goal structuring, and
performance management skills
Location: Choma and Kitwe
Duration: October 2018 to August 2019, (renewable subject to performance and
availability of funds).
