Frist Quantum Minerals Ltd. Is a rapidly growing mining and
Metals Company engaged in mineral exploration, development and mining with an
objective to become globally diversified. Our operations are located in Zambia,
Mauritania, Australia and Finland, with projects currently underway in Peru. We
are looking for bolder, smarter and driven people to fill the following
position at our Kansanshi operation in Zambia: This position will be required
to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal
regulations.

NUMBER OF POSITIONS:

The holder of this position will be required to adhere to
all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations
pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, and other regulations as
required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and
responsibilities of the function.
Key Responsibilities
. To assist the specialist with all aspects of the project
and the projects development
. To assist in guiding and training the cattle projects
employees with their duties
. To assist with and ensure the security and safety of the
project staff and of the project staff and of the livestock
. To assist in the day to day practical management
requirements of the cattle project as per instruction and of the programs
objectives
. To assist with the interaction of stake- Holders
Government partners, Chiefs, communities and project beneficiaries
. Provide effective training to beneficiaries on all aspects
of cattle production management and animal’s husbandry
. To Work with and report to the project specialist on a regular
basis or as designed by the projects requirements.
. Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the
Supervisor
Qualifications
. Minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture, preferably with
Animal Husbandry as a major
. Valid Driver’s License
Behavioral Traits
. Have leadership qualities with a strong sense of
responsibility towards the wellbeing of the project, the project staff, the
livestock and the projects equipment and materials
. Be able to converse with beneficiaries and have an
affinity towards Knowledge sharing and teaching
. Have empathy for livestock and care for their needs
. Be prepared to work at any time of the day or as when
necessary for the livestock’s wellbeing
Experience
. Have at least 10 years of proven commercial work
experience in cattle production or similar experience working with a Known
veterinary establishment
. Be currently/ Veterinary industry
. Being a farm manager can be an added advantage
. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience
with running wildlife and cattle together
