Mopani Copper Mine Plc, a joint venture company comprising
major shareholders Glencore International AG, first Quantum Minerals Ltd and
Zccm Investment Holdings, Owns operations in Mufulira and Nkana on the
Copperbelt in Zambia. The Company’s success has been as a result of its focused
approach to Improvement and the mutually beneficial relationship enjoyed with
its stakeholders- an important sector of which is its employees.
The Company seeks the services of qualified RISK ASSESSOR-
TRACKLESS EQUIPMENT X1 reporting to the Engineering Superintendent Governance.
Duties will, among
others, include:
. Facilitating risk assessments through liaison and
coordination with operations and other stakeholders
. Advising on the prioritization thereof
. Conducting audits on the implementation of applicable
governance
. Providing training, coaching and advice to departmental
members and site accordingly
. Proper logging and tracking of recorded actions and
commitments
. Maintain close liaison with all stakeholders (i.e.
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Operations, Suppliers, Supply Chain,
Component Stores, and Finance etc.) to promote cooperation and sound working
relationships.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Grade 12 school Certificate
2. Diploma or Degree in safety Management with Minimum 5 years’
experience
3. Experience in underground operations and trackless
equipment will be an added advantage
4. Experience in risk assessment tools (i.e. WRAC, Bowtie,
etc.)
5. Relevant diplomas or Certificates in specialized courses
from recognized institutions of learning or Original equipment Manufactures as
an added advantage.

the ability to work with own initiative, paying particular attention to Company
policies and Corporate objectives.
