Expanded Church Response (ECR) is
a faith-based organization implementing OVC, GBV, HIV/AIDS, and other programs
to mitigate human suffering and bring transformational development. ECR has
implemented programs funded by USAID, European Union, UNICEF, and Global Fund
either directly or through a number of highly regarded local and international
organizations. Working with partners like these, the private sector, faith
leaders, traditional leaders, and government, we are seeing communities
awakened to new ways to improve quality of life for the most vulnerable and
strengthened to become the force to forge their own transformation.
ECR is seeking qualified,
self-driven, efficient, and innovative candidates with a passion for awakening
potential in others, to fill in the following position:
Church Development &
Liaison Officer
The CDLO will be responsible for
church development by effectively engaging churches on issues that affect them.
The staff will deliver this objective through developing and sustaining
relationships with churches and individuals locally and internationally. This
position will maintain relationships with existing churches, both being
supported by ECR and those willing to support the work of ECR.The CDLO will
ensure that relationships with church leaders and faith communities are
maintained through effective communication, creating and updating databases,
development of strategies for the participation of Faith Communities in
development issues, including HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, adolescents,
economic strengthening, resource mobilization from local and international
churches.
Requirements
A degree in or any related field
equivalent in formal or informal training; Additional training in theology or
relevant work experience working with faith leaders is an added advantage; Over
two years of work experience in community-based development programs;
Demonstrated leadership skills; mature; Good communication, negotiation and
strong teamwork skills
