Purpose
The role is responsible for
establishing processing operation efficiencies, creating best practices for
security and ensuring that the team adheres to the applicable laws,
regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures and also
support the achievement of organization’s financial and business strategies
through sales and service excellence includes planning, executing, monitoring
and measuring the service process.
Experience and qualifications
§ Relevant
University Degree.
§ More
than 5 years’ relevant experience in Card Products and Card Operations, point
of sales terminal operations and payment applications, International and local
acquiring and settlement processes and Merchant Sales and relationships
management.
§ Understanding
of Merchant Acquiring, Issuing and related industries and systems e.g
Postilion, Visa, MasterCard.
§ Computer
Literate: Ms Word (Intermediate), Excel (Intermediate level), PowerPoint
(Intermediate level).
Responsibilities
§ Responsible
for managing targets and budget goals for the team, whilst ensuring effective
control of costs.
§ Maintenance
of expert knowledge on product, pricing, application procedure, processing and
timelines in order to drive and achieve relevant objectives and targets.
§ Effectively
manage merchant relations and ensure that all client issues are investigated
for effective, timely and efficient resolution in order to retain clients.
§ Cultivate
and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders,
including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members.
§ Supervise
activities of the Merchant Services team to ensure optimal operations
efficiency, including but not limited to proper merchant set up, resolution of
all operational issues, accurate and timely settlement of transactions,
provision of training for Merchants, adequate screening and KYC documentations
for Merchants, etc.
§ Responsible
for implementing the group processes and service delivery standards to all
merchants.
§ Provide
regular merchant activity, risk and business unit reports to management.
§ Continuously
monitor processes and develop measures to mitigate identified risks and fraud
in the operational environment.
§ Ensure
stock management of point of sale devices and overall asset movement control.
§ Management
of payment systems to ensure availability of payment platforms for operational
efficiency.
§ Provide
regular merchant activity, risk and business unit reports to management.
§ Develop
and implement Customer retention strategy with regards to POS.
§ Develop
and implement differentiated service models to client segments.
§ Responsible
for providing necessary training to RMs and Merchant Services.
§ Investigate
conditions of a business challenge/incident by analyzing business and/or
technical problems relating to the acquiring / Issuer infrastructure and
describe the condition and compile the resolution in accordance with IT /
Business.
§ Assist
clients with Line of business integration into the integrated products and
solutions.
§ Ability
to identify alternate methods of connectivity, development or integration
methods to achieve a successful implementation.
§ Identify
process improvements (Cost Savings or efficiency improvements).
§ Deliver
exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive,
innovative and appropriate solutions.
§ Interface
and communicate with other acquirers and vendors in the local and international
industry as well as the card associations (Visa/MasterCard) and local organizations.
§ Collaborate
with Technical team and external vendors/switches in order to resolve issues.
§ Provide
end user support, monitor the system, respond to queries, resolve and escalate
issues within IT and Business.
§ Ensure
People management practices of the team, including performance management,
training, leave management, etc. are achieved at all times.
§ Manage
own development to increase own competencies.
