Monitoring
& Evaluation Specialist (MES) VA 13/2018
Location:
Lusaka
Starting
Salary: ZMW 244,322; ZMW 329,017/Annum (depending on qualifications)
Work hours : Full-time; 40 hours/week
General
Description:
The
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (MES) provides expert assistance to the
programming team to provide quality monitoring, evaluation, data collection and
analysis for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) funded
Volunteer activities in Zambia in addition to supporting the Peace Corps
programming M&E systems. Provides input and works on tasks effecting
overall post management concerning M&E and the success of the Peace Corps
PEPFAR program; and assists the Director of Programming and Training and
Program Team in establishing an overall vision and mission for M&E within
the country program. Provides input into the creation of Post’s strategic and
operational plans. Works with staff to create a uniform and complementary
monitoring and reporting, programming, and training plan that includes HIV/AIDS
prevention, care, and support. Leads training for Staff and Volunteers on
M&E.
Required
Qualifications
§
Successfully
completed secondary school and an advanced diploma in Monitoring &
Evaluation or related field of study.
§
At
least three of substantive professional experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
§
Excellent
working knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)
§
Good
organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated
ability to work with other staff as a team
§
Strong
data analysis skills
§
Demonstrated
ability to work with an international organization in a multi-cultural setting
– at least one year of experience required; Experience working with US
government funded organizations preferred
§
Computer
literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and databases (e.g. Access).
