In the last several years,
remarkable progress has been made in fighting Malaria worldwide. Advancements
in prevention and treatment have resulted in marked reductions in illness and
death. Eliminating malaria is achievable using existing tools and a focused
strategy, and the Malaria Control and Elimination Partnership in Africa (MACEPA
III), a program at PATH, is working with its national partners to chart the
forward through the development of an evidence-based framework to guide
countries through a comprehensive set of program interventions to elimination.

Responsibilities:
§
Accurately prepare chemical
reagents / solutions according to formulae.
§
Maintain and operate standard
laboratory equipment.
§
Receive and prepare / process
samples for analysis.
§
Perform experiments according to
laboratory SOP standards.
§
Maintain accurate and detailed
records of all work.
§
Co-ordinate work with other
members of the laboratory.
§
Consistently deliver results
on-time as agreed.
Required Skills
§
Bachelor of Science qualification
in life sciences or similar appropriate field.
§
Masters level qualification in
life sciences or similar appropriate field (desirable).
§
Minimum Two (02) years
post-graduate experience in a research /diagnostic laboratory.
§
Ability to keep records with an
attention to detail.
§
Ability to perform tasks
methodically at a consistently high level.
§
Excellent writing, computer,
management and organizational skills.
§
Capable of working individually
and planning experiments.
§
Must have Legal authorization to
work in Zambia.
